Thought I’d share music I’m enjoying lately.
First up, Shannon and the Clams-saw them live at the Burger Boogaloo in Oakland in late June 2016. Fun, lo-fi, great vocals and song writing. The videos are a bit odd, but lovingly so.
A completely different band I love is Young Chinese Dogs-kind of folk street musicians. They are based out of Munich Germany but all songs in English. Check out their videos. Here’s one to get you started-beautiful song.
While perusing their videos, found this one with a couple other similar German bands doing a cover of Macklemore’s Thrift Shop-I’d never heard of Macklemore and after finding out more about him, I know why…but this cover is fantastic!
